Happy New Year! If one of your goals in 2022 is connecting more with your son, you are in luck because today I’m sharing about an amazingly fun way to do so. All About Mom and Me: A Journal for Mothers and Sons is filled with a combination of easy, lighthearted prompts and deeper, more intimate questions for moms and sons to answer. You’ll have the chance to share feelings and stories through activities like drawing your dream house and describing the perfect day spent together (which you are then encouraged to plan)!
What I love about this journal is that it’s not dated so it doesn’t have to be a daily entry type of thing. You can work through the book at your own pace which is nice since some seasons of our lives are super busy and others we have more time to sit and spend time journaling. The prompts in the book vary, with some that will elicit shorter answers and some that you’ll spend a bit more time writing about, making journaling something that can be done on even the busiest of days.
Overall, this journal will hopefully inspire you to build a stronger, more open relationship with your son as you create a treasured keepsake of this formative time in his life. Though geared towards those pre-teen years, I think this journal would be appropriate for most elementary and middle school aged boys.
