Back in March of last year, when the stay-at-home orders started, I was convinced that I was going to get so much done around my house because we’d be spending much more time at home. Instead of going from one sport or activity to another I’d be tackling home projects, cooking from scratch, and keeping a spotlessly clean home. Well, here we are 10 months later and that hasn’t happened. Anyone else not been as productive as they thought they were going to be? Honestly I spent most of 2020 just trying to survive working from home while overseeing virtual learning for my two oldest and taking care of a toddler.
Now that 2021 is here though I have been feeling a bit more productive. I completely reorganized my kitchen, set up a tot schoolĀ learning area for my newly two year old daughter, and deep cleaned a number of areas in my home -and we are only a few weeks into the new year! As much as I have gotten done so far though, I am looking around my home at a dozen other projects I want to get started.
One of those projects is putting up artwork on my bare walls. When I moved in to my home about five and a half years ago I added “decorate” to my to-do list but haven’t really done much since then. I did add some artwork to one wall with picture frames and bought a giant pushpin map to put above my bookshelves but that’s it.
I really need to tackle my living room wall and put something above my couch so I started looking online at CanvasConquest‘s website. We bought our home from my dad and stepmom and they used to have a giant three panel ocean print which I thought was pretty so I am considering doing something like that because the beach is one of my favorite places to be.
I also enjoy the Midwest and exploring all the cities around the Great Lakes so I looked at that artwork as well. There is just something so calming about artwork that features water! I love being reminded of all my travels as well, especially while I’m stuck at home and not traveling.
And of course, there’s always the choice to get artwork that features the skylines of the city I love and visit often- Chicago! There’s something so magnificent about the skyscrapers. I love this one that includes the skyline but also features the reflection of it on water.
CanvasConquest has a number of other canvas wall art options as well, from animals to flags to sports to flowers. I love the palm tree print above that reminds me of my time in Cali.
