Best Lunch Box Ever: Ideas and Recipes for School Lunches Kids Will Love {Giveaway}

Last year was the first year that I had to pack a school lunch for one of my children. I struggled to come up with creative foods to pack because I was always in a hurry to get my children dressed, fed, and ready by 7:20am. It was so bad that a few months into school the teacher actually wrote me a note saying she thought Lucas would like to try something new for lunch.

This year the boys are both in afternoon sessions at their schools. Jacob will eat lunch before he leaves but Lucas will leave at 9:30 and won’t get back until around 3:30. Since Lucas is starting school later in the morning, I hope to be able to have time to prepare some more creative lunches for him.

I was sent a review copy of Best Lunch Box Ever: Ideas and Recipes for School Lunches Kids Will Love. Thumbing through it, I found some great ideas for Lucas that were much healthier than what I packed last year. Want to win a copy of the book yourself? You can do so here!

  1. We love these GoPicnic boxes – they come in different varieties and don’t need to be refrigerated. And they have gluten free boxes which is great for me since I can’t eat gluten. Our 3 year old son loves them too!

  3. Pb&j is a staple at our house. Mostly b/c I have to make lunches for 3 kids and it’s the easiest. I think that cookbook would help me mix things up a bit.

  5. I would say that the best kid lunch is a small cup of chips with a turkey sandwich and an apple. I loved it as a kid and it is perfect!!
