On our way home from a water park a couple weeks ago we passed by a bunch of old airplanes. I had to stop and get some pictures of them.
I discovered that they were part of an Aviation museum. The planes outside include an A-7 that flew in the Gulf War and a UH-1 Huey helicopter.
Inside the museum there are displays of uniforms and other aviation memorabilia from the 1930’s to the present time. The museum is located in Sugar Grove, IL (right outside of Aurora) and the musuem’s general hours are Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Organized tour hours available at other times as well. Learn more about the museum by checking out their website.
I think this museum would be fun for all ages. If you visit it I’d love to hear your thoughts about it in the comments below.
