I am so happy to be almost done with Christmas shopping. The only things I have left on my list are to buy stocking stuffers and teacher gifts. These are also the two hardest items on my shopping list so it makes sense that I’ve saved them for last. I looked online at the Holiday e-gift guide from Party Blu Prints that had some good ideas for stocking stuffers, gifts that everyone will love, and tips for entertaining during the holidays.
I came across Nivea lotion in the gift guide and thought about how it would work for both stocking stuffers and could be part of a teacher’s gift. I thought about putting together a basket full of relaxing gifts for the teachers with a little note on the lotion that said, “Thanks for making my preschool experience a ‘smooth’ ride”. Sinisa thought it was pretty corny so I’ll have to keep thinking about the saying but I headed to Walmart to pick up some lotion in the meantime.
There were so many great Nivea items to choose from. I even found out they have a men’s line which will be great for Sinisa’s stocking this year. I ended up deciding on the Nivea Smooth Sensation Daily Lotion because I liked that it has Shea Butter. This lotion also keeps working for 24 hours which is great for busy women like moms and teachers. It’s important to keep skin hydrated all winter long but I think that this season is so busy that it’s not always something that’s added to our to-do lists like it should be. I thought the Nivea lotion would be great with a gift card to Starbucks because I don’t think there’s anything better than pampering yourself while drinking coffee.
{Hey, don’t judge! This momma needs some time to relax, too!}
So the teacher’s gifts were mostly figured out. I think I’ll add a little homemade ornament and a card from the boys and then the gift will be complete. Now it was time to concentrate on stocking stuffers. I made a list of toiletries, snacks, and other little items that would fit in the stockings. The large lotion I got would fit and be a good stocking stuffer in the adult stockings but I also found a tiny tin of Nivea creme that would work wonderful as well.
Apparently someone else thought it would make a good stocking stuffer, too….Look who stole my Nivea!
