Tide is the laundry detergent brand my mom always used when I was growing up. Back then I didn’t think about “energy efficiency” or low electric bills. In fact, I normally left lights on all throughout the house without a second thought. Now that I’m living on my own though, saving money is very important to me so I’m glad that the same brand that my family trusted growing up is now one that is helping cut energy costs.
Tide has come out with a new product called Tide Coldwater that can get clothes clean with the added bonus of reducing your energy bill when you switch to washing your clothes in cold water. The new Tide detergent smells great and filled up my whole laundry room with it’s fresh scent. I washed a load in cold water and found that the clothes were just as clean as they would have been had I used hot water.
I think you should take the Tide Coldwater challenge and try washing clothes in cold water using this detergent and see what you think. Switching to cold water is an easy way to help the environment and save some money in the process!
(Disclosure: I received a sample and compensation from Tide and SheSpeaks but all thoughts about Tide Coldwater Detergent are my own.)
