Romancing The Book Blog Hop

Welcome to the Romancing The Books Giveaway Hop with Delighted Reader and Livre D’ Amour! A bunch of bloggers have come together with a common goal– to offer lots of romance books to our readers! :)

When I think of romance novels my very favorite author is Nora Roberts. Nora has written close to 200 books and has been on the New York Times best seller list over 150 times. Those numbers amaze me! Each one of her books I have read is hard to put down and the characters in her books really come to life with her descriptions of them and the words she writes.

One reader will win the Nora Roberts paperback book of their choice

Carnal Innocence Movie On Lifetime

Nora Roberts is my favorite author so I was really excited to review Carnal Innocence, Lifetime’s newest movie based on the book by Nora Roberts. It’s one of the few books of hers that I have not read yet. This movie was not what I was expecting at all since I’m used to reading romance novels from her and this, to me, was more a thriller than a romance (though it was not lacking in the romance department). The plot kept me guessing and the secret that one of the characters shared at the end caught me off guard. Overall, I thought it was a great movie and one I would definitely watch again.

Here is a description of the movie (from Lifetime’s website):

Based on the book by Nora Roberts. After suffering a professional setback, world-renowned violinist Caroline Waverly (Gabrielle Anwar) decides to head to Innocence, Mississippi, where she spent summers as a child, for some peace and solitude away from the spotlight. Shortly after arriving, Caroline meets the arrogant but charming Tucker Longstreet (Colin Egglesfield), a member of one of the town’s most prominent families, who is quickly smitten by her. But Caroline’s dreams for tranquility turn into a nightmare when she discovers the body of a young woman, the possible victim of a serial killer whom the authorities suspect may be Tucker. Caroline soon discovers that even in a town called Innocence, secrets have no place to hide. Oscar winner and multiple Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Shirley Jones also stars.

(Disclosure: I received an advanced copy of the movie to review but all thoughts are my own.)
