I didn’t know about Verizon’s promo helping fight domestic violence. When I was working at an elementary school many of my students were in a woman’s shelter. My family and I helped alot…donating clothes, school supplies and hygiene products like soap and toothpaste. I would rather be a “hands-on” helper so I can get personally involved with the individual. I lost touch with that part of myself. They need help & support any time of the year. I will make an effort to get involved again this year and find a shelter close to me now that I’ve moved out of state.
