Thanks to Santa’s Village for sponsoring this post.
Summer is officially here and we’ve been busy making memories! We recently spent the day at Santa’s Village and it was just as fun as I remembered, only this time Emma was actually old enough to go on many of the rides by herself!
As you can see by the photos, she really loved being a “big girl” and riding all the kiddie rides solo!
As much as she enjoyed riding by herself, she loved that there were many rides that she could ride with her mom, dad, and teen brother. Farmer’s Fling is a new ride at Santa’s Village this year and Emma loved that it was pig themed because her favorite TV show is about pigs. Her brother Lucas accompanied her on Farmer’s Fling and also the Wacky Worm rollercoaster (which is a great first rollercoaster experience for kids!)
The nice thing about Santa’s Village is that, although I think it’s geared towards younger kids, there are fun rides for the teens as well so the whole family can enjoy the day. Lucas loved going on the Blizzard, the Super Cyclone Roller Coaster, and Pirate’s Revenge.
After we took some photos in the big chair (a tradition every time we visit!) we ate lunch. The kids chose to get pizza from ‘Prancer’s Pizza Parlor’ but Santa’s Village also has ‘Backyard BBQ’ which offers brisket, chicken, hot links and pulled pork as sandwiches or meat plates and tacos at their new food truck, ‘Buttons’. There are plenty of treats available as well, including Dole Whips.
Along with rides, Santa’s Village has a waterpark for the hot days of summer. The cool water felt so nice after walking around in the heat! The waterpark area has Lighthouse Harbor, which is a zero-depth entry wading pool with a two-story interactive water play structure and 9 water slides for children. There is also an area with 3 water slides for older kids, teens, and adults. Emma went down the blue twisty water slide in Lighthouse Harbor at least a couple dozen times. She would have probably went a couple dozen more times, but we got her to leave with a reminder that we still had to visit all the animals at the barn!
Feeding all the animals, and listening to Emma’s shrieks of joy and laughter, was a highlight of the day!
We were excited to see that there were even little pigglets. Emma had to sit down and play with them!
Before we left we played some games to win prizes, mined for gems, and went on a Winter Wonderland virtual reality ride called ‘Enchanted Experience’.
