Thanks to Beaches Resorts for sponsoring this post.
It’s cold and wet here in the suburbs of Chicago and I’m dreaming of warmer weather. I love the holiday season but as soon as Christmas passes I’m ready for it to be summer. I’m just not a cold weather girl!
If I were to list my vacation destinations they would definitely all be warm weather places. Several years ago I was able to escape to Jamaica in December (read about my experience here and here) and it was amazing. We stayed at Beaches Resorts in Negril and enjoyed a few days of water, sand, sun, and- best of all- warm weather!
My husband and I have also had the chance to stay at the all-inclusive Beaches Resort in Turks & Caicos (read my post here). It was the most relaxing vacation I’ve ever taken! There’s just something about sitting on the beach- without any worries or agenda- that makes Beaches resorts the best place to visit in the winter.
Another thing I love about Beaches Resorts is that they are kid-friendly. As much as I enjoy taking a couples only vacation, it’s not really something we are able to do often (in fact our oldest is 11 and we’ve only taken two of those!) so our vacations have to include our children. Having both an infant and tweens has made finding the ideal travel destination more difficult but Beaches Resorts perfectly cater to each person in our family.
Parents of infants and toddlers will appreciate the nursery with it’s 3:1 ratio and professionally certified nannies included at no additional cost for daytime excursions, meals, or just a bit of adult time. Kids will enjoy character meals, parades, kid’s camp programs, the water park, and of course time at the beach. There’s plenty for tweens and teens to do as well, like scuba diving classes, fashion shows, a teen nightclub, and even an XBox lounge (which would probably be the place my two tween boys would want to spend most of their time!)
Where will your family be spending Christmas vacation? This year we are staying home to celebrate Emma’s first birthday (which is a few days after Christmas) but reliving all these memories of vacations at the beach makes me want to book our next Beaches Resort vacation! Perhaps this time we will check out Beaches Ocho Rios all-inclusive resort (which was voted among the Top 10 Best Beach Resorts by Parents magazine.)
