Whenever I walk into Target I am drawn to the dollar spot. There are always cute things for the kids (and for me too). This week when I went to Target I discovered they had a number of Spring items out along with some things for the home. I found a cute chalkboard for $3 and immediately knew that it would be perfect for displaying the weekly menu in our kitchen.
Once I got home I went through my craft shelves to find some cut out letters so that I could create the word ‘menu’ at the top. I used glue dots to secure the letters on the board. I then “prepared” the chalkboard by rolling the side of chalk all around it and then wiping it off. This gave the chalkboard the look I wanted. Once I was done I wrote my weekly menu and displayed it in my kitchen.
It took less than 10 minutes and cost less than $4. Easy peasy! What DIY {or even semi-DIY!} projects have you worked on this week?
