Christmas movies are a must in our household during the Holiday season because it puts everyone in a festive mood and gives our family a chance to sit down and relax while we cuddle on the couch. The newest Christmas movie we have watched is Babar And Father Christmas (which is actually a remake of the 1986 classic).
Here’s more information about the movie:
“In this delightful, fully animated holiday tale, Babar’s children, Arthur, Pom, Flora and Alexander write a letter to Father Christmas asking him to visit Celesteville at Christmas. But their letter never arrives because it is stolen by Babar’s Arch-enemy, Rataxes the Rhinoceros, who wants all of Santa’s toys for himself!  When Babar sees his children so disappointed, he decides to make a journey in search of Father Christmas. Secretly followed by Rataxes, Babar’s adventure takes home viewers from Paris all the way to the North Pole, to the very toy shop of Father Christmas himself! Can Babar save Christmas for Celesteville?”
My boys enjoyed the movie and I enjoyed watching a “classic” version of Babar. I also liked the fact that two bonus episodes came with the movie because it was an added surprise! Jake and Luke really loved the Babar coloring book that was included in the DVD case. They didn’t color in the booklet, they liked to just flip through the pages and look at the pictures.
The movie is available for purchase here.
(Disclosure: I received a copy of this DVD to review but all thoughts are my own.)
