Patience (for the parents) and practice, practice, practice. Encourage him to share and see how nice it is when someone else has fun with his toy. Then point out when someone else shares with him. “Wasn’t that great of him to share his favorite toy with YOU!” Make a big deal of the good times that sharing takes place.
Patience and Praise… lots and lots of praise. I work in the church nursery and I’ve been known to put toys in time out when the younger children are not sharing. “oh no, poor doll… she needs to go into time out because you weren’t sharing.”
