Tonight at 8:30pm, millions of people across the globe will turn off their lights for one hour- Earth Hour. This movement is the world’s largest public environmental action and acknowledges a commitment to go beyond the hour with actions that benefit the planet in the year ahead.
Here are ways that you can support Earth Hour:
1) Turn off the lights in your home from 8:30-9:30pm. If you can’t turn them all off, at least switch off the non-essential ones.
2) Register your commitment at www.earthhour.org.
3) Share Earth Hour with others through Social Media. You can add banners to websites, share via Facebook, or tweet using the hashtag #EarthHour.
