Giving Inexpensively in 2011

As some of you may know I am a contributing writer at Inexpensively where I write a weekly column called “Giving Inexpensively”. I share easy ways that those of us on a tight budget can give to others. Here are the causes I have written about recently:

1) Share Your Breakfast– I love this one! Kellogg’s is hoping to donate one million breakfasts to kids in need and we can help. All we have to do is take a picture of our breakfast and upload it to the site or send picture mail from our cell phones. In less than a minute I had helped feed one child and it cost me nothing!

2) Box Tops For Education– This one has been around for a while but I recently discovered that some retailers give eBoxTops when people shop online.

3) Donating blood– National blood donor month is over but that doesn’t mean the need is gone. Did you know one pint of blood can save up to three lives?!
